Not only is she quick with software skills, her good ...more As a creative and studious student, Vivian graduated from Temasek Polytechnic with a Merit Award. Not only is she quick with software skills, her good attitude and passion in graphic design help her earned several notable awards as a student and as an employee. One of her proudest achievements as a student is receiving the “Best of Show” in Design” by Student Creative Awards in Year 2002. She was rewarded with an opportunity to go on a one-month overseas internship at a top-notch advertising agency, Fallon, located in Minneapolis, United States. Even though it was for a short period of time, she assisted Creative Directors with their researches and observed how advertising agencies operate. Inspired by successful entrepreneurs in Singapore, she has made use of her creative skills to design handmade and customize merchandise for her online blog shop, Unit515. Keeping an open mind to what consumers need, she keeps herself updated with fashion trends regularly so that her products will remain in vogue. She believes that there is no boundaries to creating beautiful items which people love, so she is always on the look out for good design and constantly improve her skills as a designer. Vivian lets her artistic talents flowed freely throughout the first few years as a Designer. In Epigram, she was given immense opportunities to learn as a designer. With good guidance, she won a Finalist award for Singapore Association of Visually Handicapped (SAVH) Annual Report in “Creativity”, and also, several pitches in Epigram. She was given the chance to work independently and in a team, acquiring skills in art direction and leadership. She then moved on to add different projects to her book and started working as and Art Director in Nerf Creative (A partnership company with Alchemy Partnership), Notion Creatives and finally, Ogilvy & Mather (Redworks). To date, she has 9 years of working experience and has worked on a multitude of high-profile brands such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific (HP), Sony, Toshiba, Dell, Volkswagen and Wiley InterScience. hide
