DesignCrowd is a marketplace for design services and creativity. DesignCrowd connects individuals and businesses that need design or creative contest with artists who can be based anywhere around the world.

DesignCrowd offers creative people the opportunity to hone and develop their skills, earn income from their creativity and have fun!

About the New Community Site

Where can I find the new community site?
The free contest site will be accessible on DesignCrowd soon.

We will share the url once we've completed user testing and migrated the content. The site will be available to start using in December.

What is the cost of using the new community site?
There is no cost to participate in the new community site on DesignCrowd.

What is the name of the new community site?
We haven't yet landed on a new name for the new community site.

Is there a community forum?
Yes, you can access the forum here: DesignCrowd forum. Pls note, your DesignCrowd account is not linked to the forum. You will need to create a user name and password to login to the offsite 3rd party hosted forum. To join the forum: 1. Visit: https://muut.com/designcrowd/ 2. Go to the "Log in" text link in top right hand corner and you'll be prompted to "Join" via the right hand tab in the pop up registration modal. There are a few ways to register: You can use social profile (eg Facebook) OR register with a user name and email. The benefit of the user name set up is anonymity. If you use your Worth1000 user name then the community members joining up will recognise you and you can continue with your regular discussions.

DesignCrowd will continue supporting the forums on Worth1000, however, as previously communicated we will start progressively decommissioning the Worth1000 site in the new year. If I opt out, can I still use the forum?

Those users choosing to opt out of the content migration process can join the DC forums to stay connected to Worth members and discussions if they wish.

Will the new community site have the same functionality as Worth1000?
The initial release will mirror the core features on Worth1000 including: a community forum, free contests, ability to vote, ability to comment, points based leaderboard, tutorials and admin contest creation functionality.

We will be migrating across all contests, comments, entries, awards, statistics (aggregate Worth scores and rankings) and tutorials. We won't be migrating your inbox, personal collections or bling.

Over time, we will be adding additional features to the site including a new community homepage, community awards / gamification / bling.

Are the rules still the same as on Worth1000?
Admins set the rules for contests as they did on Worth1000.

Do I need credits to play contests?
You will not require credits to participate in contests. DesignCrowd contests are free to enter for points-based or paid contests.

How do the prize structures work?
There will be more flexibility with respect to the structure of prizes for contests (i.e. contests can be created with more than just 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes).

Entry scores will be based on a 5 star rating system.

Will you offer text based contests on the new site?
At the moment, the contest platform is built with an image uploader, which isn't well suited to text contests. To the extent that participants are willing to try uploading text as images, this is something that could be tried.

About Migration

When will you close down the existing Worth1000 site?

If choose to opt out you will not be able to access your content. If you are contemplating giving the new site a try at some point in the future then allow your content to be migrated and stored on the new site. You can always deactivate your account and your content will be removed.

After migration can I keep my Worth1000 user name?
Yes, you would retain the same name though you could change this if you wish.

I deactivated my DesignCrowd account but want back in, what can I do?
