Community Contests Help
What are community contests and how do I start participating?
What are Community Contests?
We've created Community Contests as a way for designers / creatives to interact with one another, showcase their talent, develop new skills, potentially mentor others, as well as to simply have fun! It's completely free to participate in all Community Contests, whether there are Community Points or real monetary prizes up for grabs.
Register on DesignCrowd. Then find free, fun contests and check out the Community Contest board. You can filter for open contests, cast your vote on contests in the deciding stage, or view the results from closed contests in any category you're interested in.
Yes. The community site can help you develop new skills and mentor others. However, you should carefully read the contest description, requirements and rules before entering to ensure your submission meets the standards for that contest. If you're new to the site you should start by entering Beginner level contests.
There is no cost to participate in the Community Site on DesignCrowd.
Categories include Photography, Photoshop, Illustration, Logo, Web and Graphic Design.
Community admins can preset a level of difficulty for a contest (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). The level determines the minimum skill level and submission quality participants are expected to meet.
Contests can also be tagged as "Open", where there are no restrictions on participants.
Contests may be launched by Community Admins or by DesignCrowd directly. Prizes are set at the time that the contest is launched.
Yes, you may upload comments on community contest submissions. Comments should be positive and/or constructive in nature. Any comments which are considered inappropriate will be removed and your account may be suspended.
