Logo Design Brief

I am opening a large ethnic retail supermarket and looking for the perfect design and logo for my company name to put up as my official outdoor store sign. A few things about the business:
1) Business Name : "Nile Supermarket" located in Calgary, Alberta Canada
2) Our Market: Mainly African Supermarket. However, it is important to note, we want the design and logo to appeal to everyone who may be interested in African Products. We do not want the Company Name W/Logo Design to simply communicate we cater to Africans.
3) What we sell: Groceries, Apparell, Cosmetics.

What I am looking for:
1) While it will be an African Supermarket, i.e., focused on African market, I want the design of the store name "Nile Supermarket" to appear attractive to the all Canadians who maybe interested in African products. Essentially, I don't want the design to come across as a store only for "Africans"
2) Compelling, Engaging, Original Logo for Nile Supermarket. My plan is have the logo as part or as an element in the store name design i will be putting up. Please, I am not looking for cheap design and willing to pay for high quality work. This is a real business.
3) Currently, I have two theme colors in mind for the Store Name,blue and green but open to suggestions. For the logo, I don't have anything in mind but heavily relying on the Designer's expertise.

Two Files Uploaded:
1) The "Store Outside" file is what we currently have up as a sign. I am not pleased at all with the quality of the design and looking for something high end. The New Sign should be only "Nile Supermarket" and have a Compelling Logo.
2) I have also attached the file "Sample Scheme" to show the two color schemes i would be ideally want to implement. I want to define my brand with these two colors. But feel free overall, to make any suggestions as I am relying on your creative design expertise.
