Graphic Design Brief
I am building a Texas holdem poker odds calculator with a couple of add on features but I need the graphics for the poker table interface itself.
It would obviously help if the designer has played poker before. However you should also bear in mind that this will not be an online poker application but a desktop application for analysing after the event. Therefore I'm not looking for flash avatars or realistic depictions of a dealer - I want something that is simple but classy.
I've attached an image of my favourite Pokerstars skin. I don't want a reproduction, but it demonstrates the simplicity that I'm after.
The interface will have to have:
1) A table with 10 seats. I will want to have tables of different sizes but 10 will be the maximum so please ensure there is enough space for this.
2) Each seat needs to display player name, player stack, the amount that the player currently has on the table, the player's status (active, all-in, folded, sitting out), the player's cards. I don't need avatar pictures like the ones displayed in the attachment. I do however also need space for a couple of buttons - "stand up" and "replace" when a player is seated and "seat player" when there is no player seated. The designer also needs to consider what the seat will look like when there is no player sat there.
3) The table display also needs to show the total pot amount, the current amount to call, and community cards that have been dealt.
4) There must be a a set of controls for betting - Check, Call, Raise, Fold and a slider/text-box for inputting the bet amount. These should go in the bottom right as that is where most poker players are used to seeing them.
5) There also needs to be space for a text box (like the chat box in the diagram) which can contain several tabs.
Overall this needs to fit into a space of no more than 900 pixels width and 600 pixels height, though I am happy for it to be less if the design is clear and efficient.
Finally, I will need the full set of graphics i.e. not just the overall design but the individual images for the buttons, seat graphics etc.
