Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for new company based in Melbourne Australia - "Community Midwifery Services PTY. LTD"

I have worked in Melbourne as a hospital midwife and recently as a practising private midwife and there is still a gap in the market to fill. I see Community Midwifery as the "missing link" to join the two sectors together. There is still distrust between the 2 camps and i want to harmonise care for mothers and babies so that when they do go into hospital they still have a friendly face who they know, but the hospital also feels comfortable with that midwife too because she works closely with that hospital, and is known there.
This model of midwifery care will follow the Community midwifery model in the U.K and is very much based on the same Community values as presented in the new series "Call the Midwife" but obviously a more up to date version, no longer being on bikes!
The importance of working with families in the Community and becoming a guide, counsellor and friend. A valued member of society who is a familiar face to trust with your concerns about being a new pregnant mother or new mother with baby cannot be stressed enough.
We will work in local clinics or in the clients home. We will always be visible so we need a smart professional logo that belies our beautiful profession but also becomes a well recognised, much loved one by the mothers we help.
Key words for new service; SUPPORT, CARING, EMPATHY,HEALTH AND WELLBEING AND SAFETY, CONFIDENCE BUILDING, KNOWLEDGE, EMPOWERING WOMEN TO BE MOTHERS. MOTHER/MIDWIFE BOND. MOTHERS AND MIDWIVES WORKING TOGETHER. MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH -RESPECTED BY COLLEAGUES.VERSATILE SKILLS IN ANY ENVIRONMENT. ROLE MODELS FOR THE PROFESSION. MIDWIVES NURTURED TOO.
The final design should incorporate some of the above. We also need one that can be easily transferrable for business cards and admin, website, facebook etc..This logo will be everywhere.
Also don't want to come across too medical because we do offer homebirth and alternative therapies..

Hi everyone really liked the first couple of designs I received  they had a bold logo and what  I also felt we could do is have 3 little pictures in bottom righthandside In different colours, cartoon style of depicting Either pregnancy birth and post natal period or hospital home and Midwife with bag or baby!thanx

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I wad hoping to get a bit more choice and some innovative ideas. There is a lot of mum and baby stiff out there and I need something really original that will stand out. Have a go. We are starting a bold new project and we need a bold design to go with it. Thanx.

Trust and  friendship but in all our dealings we will be very professional. It has to promote all that is good about midwifery profession. Look on english midwifery websites to get some ideas.  Give it a go! Thanx louise.
