Logo Design Brief
My business is called SoundQuest. My tagline is: Discover Your Sound. My mission statement is: SoundQuest helps musicians to discover their sounds and connect with each other.
I am launching a musical equipment business, starting initially with guitar effects pedals, that allows musicians to choose gear that they want to experiment with. I will mail them the gear they want for a week at a time. They can take it into the studio to record or on stage to perform, and then they send it back.
I want the SoundQuest logo to evoke musical discovery, high quality, and integrity. The principles of my business are: Connection, Innovation, Simplicity, Quality, and Service.
This logo is going to appear on things such as a small guitar pick, a 2" sticker, a business card, and of course, a website. Thanks!

Requirements
Must have
- Either the full name "SoundQuest" or the letters "SQ"
The elements of design that I really appreciate are simplicity, subtleness, and depth perception. Don't be fancy or intricate. Be clean, and allow the viewer to appreciate the sensibility of your design. I've added 3 pics to this brief for inspiration.
Nice to have
- The elements in the logo that I would like to see are very subtle references to sound and discovery. Universal references to sound could be a speaker, instrument cable, sound waves, etc. Discovery could be represented in numerous ways, such as a road, light, opening something. Don't take all my suggestions literally. Be creative, be original, be subtle.

Should not have
- 1) Don't use musical notes (e.g., the stereotypical eighth note). They're too 'academic'. Instead, go for something that's more about 'discovery'
2) Avoid drawing too much attention to any one instrument (e.g. guitars, keyboards, etc.) Instead find ways to subtly illustrate or infer the concept of sound.
3) Don't literally use navigational instruments (e.g., map, compass, magnifying glass) to imply discovery. These can be misconstrued for a scientific approach. Instead, be subtle with the object associations, and try to infer the concept of discovery, exploration, and journeys (e.g., road/path, etc.)
