Illustration Design Brief

We are a marine salvage and supply business which works primarily with sailboats. We recover sunken and abandoned sailboats and reclaim usable parts. We also operate a retail store selling these used and also new parts and supplies.

The company name is Monkey Fist Marine. For those unfamiliar with a monkey fist, it is a traditional knot used in sailing.

We are looking for a fun design similar to what one would see on t-shirts, etc. at a place such as Carlos & Charlies or Senior Frogs in Mexico.

Elements preferred in the design include a tropical look and bright colors which will work well with various colored t-shirts, koozies, etc. We would love to have a character(s) or mascot(s) which we could carry forward onto other designs. As such, this could be the beginning of a continuous project.

The logo shown in the attached image does not have to be included as we are not sure it will be used as is or redesigned.

The goal is to make a fun product which people will want to wear while promoting our business.
