Character Design Brief

I need two unique twin characters (one boy and one girl.only minor differences between the two) that can be modified to represent different scenarios, situations, etc.
It could be something like one of the southpark characters or any cute animal. Key message is to keep it simple.
The different scenarios could be.
An Australian, a blind person, a shy person, a footballer, an engineer, a lazy person, a crazy person, a French person, etc.
Because each new scenario will need color to help differentiate, I think there should not be so much color with the base character.
