Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for a new product whose tag line is "Mantra cards for little people and the ones who love them". The product name is PeaceMakers. The logo will be placed on the box/packaging and the (uniformly designed) backside of each 3.5" x 5" mantra card. The logo will appeal to children and adults alike. The deck will be used by families and teachers/classrooms. The logo will communicate: peaceful, intentional, childlike, whole-hearted, playful, colorful, cherished, love. We would like the logo to work well if it is used standing alone (PeaceMakers) or with the product's tagline. (PeaceMakers: mantra cards for little people and the ones who love them)
If logo project goes well (which I fully see it doing!) I hope to have the entire set of cards designed with possibly the same designer.
Target Market(s)
Parents of young children, teachers/coaches, anyone teaching and guiding children with a desire to inspire compassion and mindfulness in the children they love. AND JUST AS IMPORTANTLY, THE CHILDREN THEMSELVES who will be working with the mantra cards (mostly are 4-8 years old but the cards will be marketed to parents of tots to teens) --- very important because if the child loves them, is drawn to them, wants to pick a card from the deck, hold a card, etc..., the adult working with the mantra cards will have an easier time enrolling children into working with the messages held on the cards. The adults we are targeting are "into" positive parenting, mindful parenting, conscious parenting. Mostly 25-45 year old females and consider themselves progressive, open-minded. They are inspired by the idea that as parents and teachers, we teach and guide by example. They want to stop yelling, nagging, repeating and reminding their kids to behave. They want to inspire "good" behavior, parenting from their center in peace-filled ways.

Requirements
Must have
- logo that works in full color or black and white and can carry the backside of a mantra card visually.
- logo that works with the tagline or not.
- logo that represents well whether large or small for other uses (banners, shirts, mugs, etc.)
- a logo with PEACE as a central theme as this product is all about making PEACE in the hearts of all to hold them. I PREFER PeaceMakers be connected in the logo as it reads more fluidly and evokes connection (stacked and separate i.e Peace Makers doesn't have the same connected feel to me.)
Nice to have
- The logo will communicate the following energy/feel: peaceful, intentional, childlike, whole-hearted, playful, colorful, cherished, love.
- The mantras to go on these cards (42 of them) are derived from seven themes - themes that align with the seven chakras of the body. Please see attached pic for colors generally associated with the seven chakras as one side of each card will have the logo you create and the opposite side will have a mantra message with background art/design inspired by the color of the chakra the mantra is inspired by. (Example: Power themed mantra card = root chakra = Red --- The message might read "I am powerful.")
- FUN!!! we are talking about a product to be used with kids so we want it to feel inviting to the kiddos that "play" with the deck of cards.
- I like the idea that the graphic to go with the words somehow gives the overall logo some heigh as PeaceMakers is a wide name with no height to it. Something with a graphic above and/or below would help the overall logo look good on the front of a 3.5' x 5" card.
- i made a pinterest board of images i like that will inspire the design of the mantra cards themselves --- added it below as a file.
Should not have
- Tired out - overly metaphysical images that would turn younger kids off.
- As you can see, there is license for artistic variation in the exact shade of say, light blue or indigo or violet that is reflective of each chakra (see attached google images)
