Hi. I am setting up my consulting business and need a simple, easy to remember logo that will be used for all sorts of purposes.
I live in grew up close to a park called Owl Park where spent a lot of my youth playing sports, socializing, dreaming and becoming the person I am today. Therefore, it was logical to pick it as the name of my corporation.
You have carte blanche on this project because I have no eye for design. I will be shopping the designs to some smart people to get their opinions, and will probably end up selecting the best based on their votes.
Target Market(s)
The company I am setting up is for consulting services. Therefore it needs to be professional, simple and memorable. A lot of this line of business depends on relationship building and a name and business card are an important part of that.
The type of consulting is largely strategic and designed to improve the wisdom of managers (owls = wise... you get it).

Requirements
Must have
- There is no specific must have. But, the logo should somehow communicate that I run a consulting/advisory firm. So in that sense you should probably incorporate the word "advisory" somehow.
- Also, the focus should be on the name and the font chosen. Not the actual owl (if you choose to incorporate it in the design)
- THE LOGO SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 2 colors. I want it to look good in monochrome if need be.
Nice to have
- The logo can incorporate owls, but it is not necessary. I am going for memorable and I find there are too many "owl"s in logos nowadays. Still if you have an innovative way to show an owl, I am ok with it.
- NO CUTE OWLS. I am trying to run a professional business.
Should not have
- Don't be overly generic either. I don't want the generic swishes and swoops. They are very boring.
