Logo Design Brief

We need a logo designed for a multi-year program/project we are executing at Oxy. The project is named Project RIO - RIO is an acronym for "Re-Imagined Oilfield".

Program RIO will optimize business processes, enhance our systems landscape and implement emerging technology to broaden the foundation for achieving operational excellence. Project RIO will position us to take advantage of the emerging Industrial Internet technological advances that are transforming operations in all industries. The project will assess the applicability of the Industrial Internet to our operations and implement the foundation required to take advantage of this technology in the coming years. The project will focus on intelligent equipment, advanced analytics, connecting people at work and on the move, and providing seamless access to a “context aware” digital oilfield file. Project RIO will enable us to move from just understanding the past to seeing and improving the future.

* The Logo should contain the acronym RIO.
* Any letter can be substituted with any shape or object as long as RIO can be clearly interpreted from the substitutions such as an oil derrick in place of the “I”.
* The theme should be futuristic in nature, demonstrating an alignment of upstream onshore oilfield operations with new technology (advanced analytics, intelligent equipment, connecting people, and big data).
