Logo Design Brief

We require a logo for a business that specialises in listing companies on the Australian stock exchange, called "The Public Listing Co."
We would like to see something simple yet effective, modern, no gradients and something that suits the corporate industry. Please refer to the attached file for design ideas and colour options - background and seperate parts of the logo.
Additional to the full logo, we require an identifiable mark/symbol to represent the business and logo designed (could potentially use PLC, open to ideas?). Examples of this, are the yellow 'M' for McDonalds and the 'tick' for Nike.
