Logo Design Brief

We need a new logo for our newly named foundation. We would like modern but simple for reproduction. We would like a bit of our City's tartan included if possible, it is blue with white and red striping (will attach sample - maybe a "swoosh" of tartan above or below the wording). Possibly in a celtic font but clearly readable. Option of a design with a thistle (Scotland's national flower) and celtic knot design.

this logo will be used on merchandise, letterhead, banners, signage etc and must be easy to reproduce but eye-catching
