Logo Design Brief

Hi,

I am looking to refine/redefine a logo that I had developed for me. I have a design in PDF with a old sewing machine as part of the logo.
I am happy with the concept of the design but I want to simplify the image, and get more detail (a contradiction I know) out of the sewing machine.A silhouette with perhaps crisper edges and in a way give it greater detail.
This is going towards a new web based business of 'curtain couture' , a website that sells curtain material, and a full handmade and delivered curtain service.
We aim to deliver a high end product at an incredibly affordable price.
I have no objections and I am willing to accept any proposals for re-design or any improvement that you feel. Once I am happy with the logo I will require it all formats to cover a full brand pack.

Kind Regards,
John

I think the concept of the scotch and soda logo is good, butt I need a sexier shaped sewing machine like the one on top of the table in the picture !

Some one asked me what I meant by scrolls . (Please see below). These are only concepts, please feel free to use whatever you feel works best as a design on the sewing machine. Also The formatting of the text is not fixed. You can place the text in which ever position you feel works best!

As an idea!

Could we see if the phrase "Curtain Couture", (calligraphy style) can be used a a design graphic on the body of the sewing machine? I would like to see if it could be done in a very elaborate font, and be used instead of the scrolls/swirls. I have no idea if this will work .
"The Curtain Room" is still the name of the company, and I am still open to ideas on postion/layout/font style on this!

When I say replace the swirls on the machine with lettering. I mean something like this. Or even less obvious than this. Something that looks like art work but if you look  closely you can read "curtain couture".

Requirements
Must have
  • It is a classic Tradional/Text.
Should not have
  • This is not a cheap product. This is a classical product , think english country houses or cool london penthouses.
The colours that I had in mind were grey background with a classic off-white font. But as with any logo, unless it works in black and white, it wont work in a colour.
