Logo Design Brief

Seeking a logo design for a new national industry body. The logo needs to embody strength and power of a lobbying force when dealing with Governments but with a modern feel. The body is there to support , promote and protect hardware retailers and suppliers throughout Australia.
Color selection will be critical as we need to avoid any colors associated with the leading brands and groups in the industry. So no predominant usage of blues, greens , yellow or blacks.
