Logo Design Brief

Hello there!
I am looking for a logo to use on my startup website and in communications. The philosophy is one of combining traditional values and teaching of English with cutting edge methods and software. I will be using the KipOnline platform to teach overseas pupils.
I would like to incorporate my family crest into the design, but for it to have a more modern look. I'll attach my quick sketch and a jpeg of the full crest.
The marketing will include images of the local fells and a white trig point on the top of one of the hills - pictures also attached.
I look forward to seeing what ideas you come up with.

Overseas market of those needing English tuition in preparation for University in the UK and US; China will be a major market, but also considering the UAE and Expat market for their children needing extra English tuition. The third market is Overseas University students in the UK who need to improve their English to improve their ability to make a success of their course.
