Book Cover Design Brief
My first book in the trilogy is called 'Twin'. The series is called 'The Path to Chaos' - so this is 'Book One of the Path to Chaos'
The author name is 'Howard Gurney'
The series is set in a medieval fantasy world that is coming out of an eternal winter and so is still largely snow covered and stark.
The heroes are a set of male twins who were separated at birth and are now trying to find each other.
One of them has grown up as a novice monk in a monastery and is a mathematician. The other is a farm boy. Both are just discovering that they have magical talents, a condition which is considered evil by the general populace. Both flee and set out to find each other.
I have attached a cover I have done for a general idea although you do not need to replicate this in any way. This more to ensure the text is correct.
The front cover should be in colour and look good as a thumbnail and also in black and white for on-line shopping on a Kindle.
The back cover will have a description of the book which I will provide.
There will be two other books in the series (which have been completed) and I would like all three book covers to have a similar theme.

Requirements
Must have
- A front, spine and back cover.
- Front must have
- Title - "Twin"
- Subtitle - "Book One of the Path to Chaos"
- Author - "Howard Gurney"
- Spine - The Title and Author name. The Spine will be about 4cm wide in a printed book.
- Back cover - can be a simple extension of the front cover. The back cover will have a text description of the book which I will provide.
Nice to have
- It is a fantasy fiction book but the front cover does not have to be too elaborate. Subtle, simple design is better than too much detail or movement. I lean towards abstract rather than photographic. Bold, simple text is preferred over flowery font. It might be nice to have a mathematical theme but not too prominent.
- There are three books and I want the covers to have a similar theme.
Should not have
- I don't want anything too 'magical' or fantastic. I do not want figures wielding swords or casting spells, or thunder bolts coming out of the sky.
