Book Cover Design Brief

Dog lover? I'm in need of a front/back/spine book cover design for a book that promotes dog rescue and adoption. The book is a collection of true short stories about down-and-out dogs (some cats and rabbits, too) who were rescued by selfless and/or adopted by, highly compassionate people. All of these animals got their happily-ever-afters. Twenty-five percent of royalties will be donated to dog rescue organizations and programs. The book includes 30 color photos.

Target Market(s)

The target is animal lovers. My audience is primarily aged 35-54 and mostly female. (This is based on Facebook stats.) However, I would like to increase my appeal to males in this same age range.
