Logo Design Brief
Basically, I want to create a family crest.
For general reference, see this link.... https://goo.gl/O0UlmM
I'm not concerned at all with using anything historically found on family crests. I'm just trying to just create one based on the family history that my family is aware of.
I'd like it to be on the simple side, meaning not too much (if anything) going on outside of the actual shield. In fact, more than likely, I'd just like a shield with some symbols incorporated inside it.
Probably more modern looking than not, but that might be hard considering some of the content I'm looking for.
I'd like to incorporate symbols for 5 specific things:
1. Grain Farming - (ideas - crop rows, grains, etc...)
2. Railroad - (ideas - tracks, train engine, wheels, front grill, etc...)
3. Powerline/Heavy Duty Transformer - (ideas - transformer, etc...)
4. Electronic Coils - (wire wrapped or surface mount electronic coils, electronic/bifilar coil drawing, etc...)
5. The letter G - (a cool font, but nothing that is along the old english font that makes the G not look like a G)
My main goal for this is to use it for t-shirts, hats, jackets, and other misc items that I'm going to print up for members of my family, so If possible, I'd like to try to keep the design to something that would print well in a 2 or 3 color design.
I'm open to multiple shapes for the shield. One thought I did have as I was typing this and researching pics is that it might be cool if you could use a picture of the front train grill to kind of come to the point at the bottom of the shield, but that's just a thought.
I've attached a PDF with some images I found on the web for my various sybmols.
