Logo Design Brief

We are an amateur cheerleading sports team based in Vienna, Austria and currently searching for a team logo.

Our team colors are:

main = claret(ruby), white and gold (a close example would be the 49ers logo colors), but the logo must not contain all 3 colours, the main focus is on the style

The logo must contain two components, a graphical element and the text element (Vienna Wildcats).

The graphical element should contain a wild cat/or wildcats head. It should go more in a direction of and outlined graphic (no comics cat heads please). Since we are using different cats as mascots/identification for our different units (leopards, jaguars, black panther, etc.) the graphical cats head should not point out a specific race (like a lion, like a tiger). Please see the uploaded example files.

The fonts used within the textural element must not look like the standard college cheerleading fonts but we definitely will not rule them out.

Another possibility could be the combination of the acronym "Vienna Wild Cats" = VWC. Problem with that is that any combination of the characters "W" and "C" close to each other could lead to some unwanted combination (WC=water closet) ;-)

Last but not least you might spend some time and try to arrange the characters "V" and "W" a 180 degrees up side down and arrange the character "C" a 90 degrees under them to form a "claw". I haven't tried this combination, it also could look like a small crown and maybe doesn't look good at all, but that your decision in the first place.

Update: 22.6.:

I've uploaded two graphics including fonts that I have tried so far for the text, maybe you take them and add same layering (white/gold) to them, I'm not experienced in that ;-) - fonts: Friday Night Light and Electrical (both free to download)
