Logo Design Brief
1. Basic info/Business background:
The Juice People is a new juice bar opening in covent garden. We pride on bringing fresh fruit and veg for our juice creations. We call it creations because we don't focus so much on a set menu but rather encourage our clients to 'shop' around our juice bar for the fruit or veg they like to have juiced.
With every cup comes a little bit of health and nutrition advice.
We have 'functional' juices, for health or taste, they do the part.
2. Project Objectives:
What is the purpose of the logo project?
We want a logo as we don't currently have one. We want to start using it for signage outside our shop, as well as put it on promotional material such as flyers, menu, brochures, loyalty card and in the near future packaged products as well. It needs to be memorable and recognisable, to have a good shelf standout. Once you see it on the flyer you know it on shelf as well.
3. Product or Service Description:
What people like about us at the moment is that we have a very 'colourful' and wide selection not only of fruits, but of veg as well.
We encourage for customer to create their own juice if they so desire of course, which seems to be a winner and what makes us different from the competition.
We will soon be adding more health benefits (ie superfoods and seed) as well as smoothies to our menu.
Customers love our friendly and engaging staff and the knowledge they provide about what goes into your juice.
4. Target Audience:
Our target audience is everyone, as cliche as it may sound. From the occasional passers by, tourists, families, students, office and shop workers from the area. We get a lot of performers, dancers and musicians as well, as we are located in the area with all theaters around, but should not focus on them only as we are planning to open in other areas in the future. We do have a lot of health conscious consumers who are quite into their 'juicing' and superfoods as well. They quite like the freedom to create their own juice and the fact we have more veggies as well.
Consumers like our friendly staff, who are happy to engage into the creation and talk about the health or taste benefits of the juice being made.
Sometimes we just get those thirsty ones that want a nice fresh orange juice or something sweet and tropical.
We have many returning customers from the local offices, shops and theaters.
5. Competition:
Every juice and smoothy bar in the area and beyond.
6. Distribution:
The logo needs to work well off pack and on pack as well. It needs to be easily recognised. Ideally recognition should be made from seeing just the colour or shape/symbol of the logo, as we are looking to expand to packaged goods and sell on shelf.
It needs to sit well on a sign above our shop and be seen from far. Also if you have your loyalty card in you wallet amongst other things, it should be easy to pick out.
7. Creative Considerations:
Many juice shop logos use orange and green for colours. Let's not exclude them but lets look at other options. Lovely colours we get from some of our juices for instance are pineapple yellow and pomegranate red.
Other things that may be helpful - our shop is quite popular with tourists to take photos of as well. Many passers by just come and look. we have brick wall on one side of our shop and the produce is displayed on wall hanging pots and shelves creating a 'live wall' as well as in smaller wooden crates that make it look like farmer's market display.
