Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for a new consulting business I am about to embark on my own based in Sydney, Australia called Rewarding Solutions, with the tag line, "finding the right balance'' or something similar.

Basically the business will provide consulting services targeting top tier listed companies (preferably) and smaller businesses who cannot afford to employ their own Remuneration and Benefits Manager.

The range of services offered will include providing advice on executive and board remuneration, designing employee benefit packages, short and long term incentive programs to attract key personnel / managers to executive positions within the company, remuneration / board reports, reward strategies, fringe benefit advice, superannuation benefits advice to name a few.

I would like to see designs that use the colours blue, green, yellow.

The final design should communicate rewards, compensation, bonuses, payments, prize.

Since speaking to a marketing friend I wish to make a few changes to the brief for the new consulting business logo.


Colours: I would like to see Blue and silver/metallic tones in the logo, rather than green as the latter is more associated with environment. I don't wish to see Red as maybe too dynamic for the serious strategic nature of the service that will be offered.

The logo will need to tick the following boxes to be effective:

1) Does it represent what the business actually does? It should represent the core service offering of providing executive remuneration advice and the graphic should represent this. It should not be confused with any other industry.

2) does it work in  a small size and in greyscale. will it give me something to work with to design letterheads, business cards etc.
