Logo Design Brief
We are seeking a logo design for a new luxury mixed use community being developed in the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore City, MD (Apartment with 1st floor Commercial/Retail tenants). The Property will be 171 units (one 6 story building) with an interior courtyard, with about 15,000 square feet of ground floor retail with a possible restaurant.
The project is an adaptive reuse of a former department store warehouse turned office building. The Mount Vernon neighborhood is located just north of Downtown Baltimore. It is known for its affiliation with art and is home to several well-known cultural institutions, including:
Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University
Walters Art Museum
University of Baltimore
Maryland Historical Society
Contemporary Museum
Maryland Institute College of Art
Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall
Baltimore School for the Arts
Lyric Opera House

Theatre Project
While this will be a luxury community, the rent will be noticeably more affordable than that of comparable buildings with similar size units, amenities and finishes. Standard finishes and amenities include: stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, full-size washer/dryers, an atrium courtyard, fitness center, bicycle storage, business center, dog wash station, 13 foot exposed concrete ceilings and much more.
The targeted demographic will be young professionals seeking the active lifestyle of city living with the convenience of proximity to Institutions, Health Care Employers, Museums, Nightlife, and Central Business District employers.
The property will be LEED silver rated, meaning energy conscious building practices will be employed.
This will be a very walkable community, in close proximity to local restaurants, pubs, nightlife, shopping, and cultural venues such as museums and musical and art performance theatres.
Overall, the project will have a modern and artistic feel.
Color palette needs to be selected, possibly based on your submitted design!

Several of you participated in the logo design contest that was posted for Paragon at Columbia Overlook. We were impressed with several of the designers and the felt the quality of the work received was high.
