Logo Design Brief

We are looking for a logo designed for an upmarket wedding photography and wedding videography business.

The current logo can be seen on our website www.saxoncole.com and our business name is Saxon Cole Photography. Having recently expanded to wedding videography, we would like the new logo to incorporate a change of name to Saxon Cole Images & Film.

We would like our logo to evoke a feeling of elegance as we are in the bridal industry, but at the same time we are also looking to carve a niche amongst brides and grooms who are looking for images that are creative, quirky, and fun.

Our current logo is text based using Times New Roman as the font, as this is loosely based on the font of Tiffany & Co which appeals to us because of the classical feel it evokes, and although it would our preference to retain the current font, we are happy to consider alternatives.

Our preferred colour scheme includes the greyish blue as currently seen as the background of our website with white font. Complementing, brighter hues of blue are also welcomed for a feeling of freshness.

We are hoping for the addition of a symbol in the logo, and our current mindset leans towards a type of snowflake. The snowflake will symbolise the uniqueness of our team, our style and the unique stories behind our clients.

Ultimately we would like this logo to give the impression that we are a professional company that delivers a classical and elegant product, in a way which is fresh, fun, and a dash left of centre.

Our aim would be for a fairly high end luxury feel to the logo.

Hi everyone,


Thank you to all of you that have submitted a design so far. If I could just add one thing to our brief now that we've seen some entries, we'd actually like for the snowflake to have a slightly more complicated design that some of the submissions so far, I've uploaded a couple of examples to provide you with an idea of the sort of snowflakes we liked doing a simple image search on google. Please view the brief as we've uploaded them there.

Overall we're quite impressed with the designs submitted and appreciate all the submissions everyone has contributed - thank you!
