Logo Design Brief

British Ski and Snowboard, the governing body for snowsports in the UK, need a logo for a new fundraising plan called the British Snowsports Fund. The British Snowsports Fund will see companies involved in the British snowsports industry (holiday companies, retailers, airlines etc) ask their customers to make a donation which will be used to fund future British Olympic skiers and snowboarders.

As the new logo will be placed alongside a wide variety of partner logos, there is the need for it to be flexible enough to accommodate this. It may also be used on clothing and on ski and snowboard equipment, so needs to be easy to reproduce.

Funding from the Fund will go to support all snowsports disciplines, so will need to be flexible enough to cover the ‘trendier’ freestyle sports and the more traditional alpine skiing.

We would like it to reflect the colours of the British flag - red, white and blue.

Target Market(s)

The customers who are making donations are likely to be enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders, who are either booking a holiday or purchasing some clothing or equipments.

Requirements

Must have

• A reflection of the colours of the British flag - red white and blue.

Nice to have

• An emblem logo would probably be easiest for this purpose, but I would also be happy to see a pictorial or abstract logo.

Should not have

• As the logo will be used alongside numerous other logos it cannot be too complicated and needs to be easy to reproduce as it will be used online, in-store and on kit and equipment.
