Logo Design Brief

I've attached samples of a family crest. I'd like to end up with something that's accurate but also simplified enough to tag to the bottom of an email, reproduce on letter head, etc. Ideally the final result will look good in both color or black-and-white. There are two images attached to this design request. (1) is a gold ring that is accurate and already someone simplified (but clearly not in a digital format). The 2nd is a more ornate mock-up of the crest that contains a much more elaborate design and accurate color palette...but this digital file has so much detail that it doesn't scale down, print well, or work in black-and-white (it's ok in grey scale).

Requirements

• Scale-able - needs to look good is shrunk down or blown up
• Needs to work in both full color and black and white
• Needs to be accurate to original designs (attached)
