We're looking for a logo to re-brand an annual event that we have been producing for nearly 50 years. The event is a tour of historic theatres. It's held in a different part of the country each year. It has historically been called CONCLAVE however, as we approach the 50th anniversary, we want to re-brand it as TheatreCON. We feel that TheatreCON will have an instant awareness among a younger audience as a fandom event for theatre buildings. However, we can also tell our older attendees (who will be reluctant to change) that we are shortening down the the name.
The event consists of several days of touring historic theatres. We will be adding to it special events and educational sessions to celebrate the architectural, cultural, and social relevance of historic theatres.
For your knowledge/inspiration, I'm attaching our logo/wordmark for the organization. A typography sheet for our magazine, and a previously used image (which I thought was great [sort of pop art]) from 2014 when we would make an individual logo for each year's event. I would like this project to be something that can be used for several years.
Target Market(s)
Our typical attendee is older, likely 55+ but we are hoping to attract a younger audience. Targeting: 35-50 years old.

Requirements
Nice to have
- I'm looking for something that will evoke a sense of history since we've been doing this for a long time, but something that will be appealing to a younger audience.
Should not have
- As we are an organization focused on architectural, cultural, and social relevance, we are not necessarily connected to the art form of theatre or film/movies. Comedy/tragedy masks, stage lights, red grand drapes, spotlights, film reels, and any fairly typical representations of theater or movie related imagery isn't what we're looking for.
