Logo Design Brief
We need logo design for a re-branding of a company based in Boston and Washington DC, USA called Ripe Hospitality. We are a food and restaurant consulting and management group. We design restaurant concepts (from menu planning to business plans), actively manage them (i.e. day - to - day operations), and operate our own event and catering company (this brand appeals to wedding, corporate, and private customers).
Our expertise is based on applying high end chef and restaurant knowledge in innovative ways to all of our client's needs and requests. We are professional, but hip and knowledgeable about restaurant trends that will be around for the longterm.
Our name RIPE comes from the literal meaning of ideas that are fully mature and well thought through. This also applies to the food we cook in our catering and event business being seasonal and locally produced so they are always "ripe" and beautiful in flavor.
We will need the logo to work with the following three legs of our business:
"Consulting by Ripe Hospitality":
-- where we work with business owners to improve their restaurant business metrics
"Restaurant Management by Ripe Hospitality":
-- where we install our management team to actively manage restaurant concepts
"Events by Ripe Hospitality":
-- where we design and implement high-end events like weddings, corporate launches, gala's and marquee dinner parties (this is both food and overall design)
We would like to see designs that highlight a strong image that also displays our artistic and modern sensibilities -- highlighting the creativity we approach all of our projects with as well our world class food concepts. The final design should communicate quality and strength to our clients who use our services to maximize their businesses and event impact. It should also include a bit of artsy-ness and abstract design so that our creativity shines through.

Requirements
Must have
- an avatar along with the text logo.
- AVATAR can be an abstract or pictoral image....maybe this can be a nod to our artistic element?? We like hand painted looking elements if this is a helpful direction...
Nice to have
- would be nice to see the logo with each of our business arms...for instance:
- Ripe Hospitality - consulting
- Ripe Hospitality - events
- Ripe Hospitality - restaurants
- Would like to have the logo remind of us a world class restaurant that finds itself in the middle of Brooklyn (elegant, and sophisticated, but with a touch of edge).
Should not have
- any cheesy or old fashioned pictures or gifs of food, plates, martini glasses, forks, chefs, along with other crappy old fashioned food icons should be avoided...unless used in a clever or smart way...
