Logo Design Brief
Known to residents as “San & Flood,” the Vallejo Sanitation & Flood Control District (“the District”) is an independent special district created by the State of California in 1952 to collect and treat wastewater, and protect the Vallejo community from flooding. We are dedicated to improving our organization and Vallejo’s sanitary sewer and storm drain systems to continue providing the best services possible.
VSFCD is pursuing a rebranding now in anticipation of a number of capital improvement projects in the future. The District also wants to clarify its responsibilities with residents -- many of whom are new to the area. Also, even longtime residents often confuse “sanitation” with trash pickup services, which are provided by a contractor working for the City of Vallejo.
Target Market(s)
Residents of Vallejo California. A very diverse group: 25% white, 25% Asian, 25% hispanic, 25% African American. Working class.
