Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our new brand which sells sofas, chairs and unique seating sourced from around the world. The brand is called Original Couch Potato. We want it to express what we are modern / retro, catchy, creative, which incorporates some kind of potato character possibly slouching on a chair / sofa. we require this character to be the face of the brand. So we require the character to be fun / retro. Maybe the logo to be in a round circle and the brand name around the character but i'm open to ideas.
Colours again open to ideas possibly not multi bright colours kind of 1-2 colours maybe browns because of the potato character an Armchair would possibly look good in brown.
Style American retro i have attached some logos for ideas of what im looking for.
