Logo Design Brief
Need a logo design for Feral Cat Publishers, a small new firm that publishes works by worthy but stubbornly independent authors. We plan to publish anthologies as well as novels. Primary focus is fiction. Key things the logo should impart: independence, neutral aspect (not overtly friendly or threatening), self contained. The logo would be used for websites, marketing, eBooks, print books, etc. Our first idea was a pair of predatory feline eyes looking out through leaves of tall grass, but we're open to anything which captures the spirit.

Requirements
Must have
- Suitable for use on book covers (e and print), web pages, social media. Ease of later client modification, e.g. text movement/fonts. Important note: logo must be able to transition to a black/white format like printed page or Kindle without losing the gist. Colors are fine on web pages and book covers, but have to consider all uses.
Nice to have
- Modern sensibility, uncluttered/clean. Should be something quality that will continue to look good and not be faddish this time next year.
Should not have
- Stodgy or trendy design. Also please note (after seeing a few submittals), a feral cat is not a domestic cat in attitude or appearance.
