Logo Design Brief
We need a logo for our startup called Bragda. Bragda means "to move" in Old Norse, the Viking language (we don't care much about the Viking bit but liked the word). We are developing highly functional sports apparel for urban activities like Pilates and Yoga, indoor climbing, and cycling that combines the performance characteristics of sports clothes with a practical and urbane style for city life. Our business values focus on well-thought out design, practicality, and the highest level of quality and durability. Our intention is to make our products in the US and to use sustainable materials as much as possible. Sort of a Patagonia meets Prana. The logo should be something simple that can be incorporated as a badge or emblem in all of our apparel and footwear. We prefer earthy, retro colors like Fiat 500s and Orla Kiely. And having a unique font style for the word Bragda itself would be great, too. Our brand should communicate simplicity, mobility and confidence.
Updates
We have explored the idea of using the Puffin as a logo/symbol. Our idea is to have a circular badge with a highly stylized puffin. It should capture the colours of the beak, the distinctive shape of the eye and should otherwise by black and white (with the possible exception of feet, if they are included in the design).

Target Market(s)
Mainly cosmopolitan types who take their fitness seriously but do it indoors or on the street, not out in the back country. They will probably be 30-50, professionals, and evenly split male/female, people who prefer quality and timeless style over bling.
