T-shirt Design Brief

Design a shirt that would be black material with reflective printing on the back that not only captures the spirit of a small, rural volunteer fire department in Alaska but also has a professional image. This shirt will be worn to semi formal events with black pants and shoes and may be worn on emergency calls. Must have reflective type on the back so as to be seen in the dark at night and must read "BEAR CREEK", "FIRE", and "EMS" in some format. The type on the back does not need to be plain lettering and may have some graphic design elements to it so long as the personnel can be clearly identified on an emergency scene. The front of the shirt must include our logo. However, our logo to some is hard to identify that there's actually a bear in the logo. See attached for logo. We would really like to see this logo cleaned up and made clearly understood the purpose and content of the logo on the shirt. The front of the shirt may have just the logo or may include other graphical design work. The goal of this shirt is to be professional looking, but also have some character to show pride in the department and pride of our history. We were founded 40 years ago this year and are working on a large "open house" event that all volunteers will be wearing during this event. • Same as attached logo. Improved design so people can tell they are actually looking at a bear on small logo such as shirt logo. Vector images to use later on for large print ads or banners.

Nice to have

• Alternate design that is easily understandable in line art form for printing when colors are not permitted.

Should not have

• Drastic changes to old logo.
