Logo Design Brief

I want a logo for a new foundation that I have started. I haven't decided if the name is going to be "Social Entrepreneurship Foundation" or "Endowment for Social Entrepreneurship". Currently, it's Endowment for Social Entrepreneurship. So, go with that unless you think Social Entrepreneurship Foundation will to do better with the logo. Ideally, I would like to see the final logos with both.

We basically invest in social entrepreneurship education. We have a fund, raise money, and invest in social entrepreneurship education and projects. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.

Social Entrepreneurship is the concept of "doing well by doing good". In fact, I like that tagline. SE is when an entrepreneur is interested in both making money and doing good. It solve social issues like: poverty, education, ethics, and whatever but doing with a for-profit business model. Or it also are entrepreneurs who make money with businesses but are always giving back and helping others. It's different than the government model of higher taxation to solve these issues and different than the traditional non-profit model of raising money and spending all of it without effective revenue generating models. It can also be a combination of all of the above... but you get the idea. Some people call it the double bottom-line, where you measure how much money you are making in conjunction with how much you are helping people. The 2 concepts are not opposed to each other but work in conjunction with each other.

Target Market(s)

The target customers are corporations and individuals who primarily donated or sell real estate or businesses at a discount to our non-profit endowment, which then feeds money to social entrepreneurship education and projects.

We make offers to buy real estate and/or businesses at a discounted rate and the sellers get both cash and a tax deduction on top of it to the point that they do well by doing good.

They want to see that our proposal is safe and not risky... but they also want to see it to go to a good cause. They key is stability, safety, and show them that this is legitimate because it almost seems too good to be true so they question it. I have been doing this for 10 year but need to have the feel that we have been doing this for 100 years...

Here are a couple of examples of companies that do what we do:

www.SeedAmerica.com
www.KorionEndowment.com

But we are going to focus a lot more on Bargain Sales, which is actually paying cash for the real estate/business and getting them a tax deduction.
