Logo Design Brief

The Kailua Masters Swim Club (KMSC) needs a 2017 logo that will be used on t-shirts, swim caps and other promotional items. KMSC is a community of pool and open water swimmers that are 18+ years old and are diverse in their swimming skills (i.e. beginners, recreational, advanced, competitive, and triathletes). The KMSC is located in Kailua, Hawaii. Kailua is a small Hawaiian community that is known for its world class beaches and the infamous islands about a mile off-shore that are referred to as the "Mokes". A google search for Kailua Mokes will provide many pictures and art work for the Mokes. We would like to give the designers total creativity for a logo but we desire something that links swimming to Kailua. A few of our members have mentioned possibly using petroglyphs or a drawng of a Honu (local turtle) within the artwork...not required, just a suggestion. The logo can be any size/shape as long as it can be scaled to be used on various promotional items, such as t-shirts, swim caps, cards, etc.

Nice to have

• See project description - some KMSC members have suggested petroglyphs, Honu, palm trees, waves, etc. Would prefer the designer be creative with what should be included in the design. I have provided some artwork to help give an idea of local designs...please do not use these specific pictures as the art work belongs to someone else.
