Logo Design Brief
I have been a massage therapist for nearly 20 years, but only just started my own business a little over a year ago. I have a silly sense of humor-except when it comes to my work. i am extremely serious about my work. I have to be. Being a male in a female dominated industry forces me to be serious. That doesn't mean I don't want my sense of humor to come through in my logo. My tag line is "When You Knead Me, I Knead You."
I offer customized therapeutic and relaxation massage in my office, and also offer in-home massage. I also provide seated chair massages for corporate and promotional events.
I'd like to incorporate the idea of a strong massage from a sensitive, intuitive, veteran therapist dedicated to creating the client's perfect massage...but with a smile.
Updates
While I've enjoyed everything I've seen, I need you to re-focus and let me change my brief a little bit. I know that I'm asking a lot from your designs, but I'd like you to consider some other direction(s).
I have always wanted to emphasize my strength as well as my hands, but the hands alone seem trite.
Example: How about the frame of a human body with massage as the body,
marc or some use of "M" as the head and shoulders? Almost a gym club
type muscle image. Don't get me wrong; I like hands, and there were
some cute uses of the hands, but I'd like to get away from that in
general or not have them be the central message. One of you used M in hands and that was great.
My other thought was like a university type emblem or insignias with
Greek or Latin words for massage or the translation of When You Need Me,
I Knead You. What would that be in Latin or Greek? Surrounding or
embedded in an image. A strong male or massage figure surrounded by a
cute saying.
Example: (Funny example, I hope.) My gmail account for example was
wassamatau (What's the matter you...a la The Marx Brothers or Rocky and
Bullwinkle, an American cartoon. Don't use this, but how funny is that I
was a graduate of I Rub University? I RUB U?
And even though I have two tag lines, I'm not wed to either. You can
use one, both or neither of them. Besides when you need me, I also like
"Real Massage for Real People."
Thank you for your interest. Let me know if this gives you some added inspiration or ideas that we can look at together. I downloaded some logos for ideas, but not exclusive use ideas.

When You Need Me I Knead You
Added Monday, November 11, 2013
Think of me as a Blue Collar Massage Therapist. I'm not one of those ethereal aura seeing therapists.
I work hard-all the time. Think of grit, sweat and intensity.

I'm quite pleased with the direction I see some of you taking. I will go through and make comments today.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I'd like to combine some of the elements from several designs from one studio into one final design. Tenti Studios' design might also spur some competition. I see some of the different design elements in each submission, from the muscular "M" to the stylized "M".
The body shapes have strong outlines rather than the female torso I see frequently. I'm almost there and getting some good vibes.
