SABLAYAN DIVERS

LOGO DESIGN BRIEFING


INTRODUCTION

SABLAYAN DIVERS is a new dive center located in Sablayan / Occiental Mindoro / Philippines operated by one of the most experienced guys around. Our main business is arranging and conducting dive trips to Apo Reef but we are also offering diving around Sablayan / Pandan North Island as well as training / courses. SABLAYAN DIVERS is the first PADI dive center in Occ. Mindoro and we are planning to be the first dive center in Occ. Mindoro to offer technical diving.
We aim at offering the highest possible quality as well as being the most professional and innovative dive center in the region while maintaining a warm, welcoming and familiar atmosphere.


SLOGAN

We are currently working on an appropriate slogan, it could be something like “SABLAYAN DIVERS – Your choice for stunning Apo Reef adventures!” Since it’s not determined at this point it should not be included in our logo.


TARGET AUDIENCE

Our main target audience are basically all divers (male and female) between 20 and 50 years but also people interested in nature, sea life and adventures in general. Since we want to offer technical diving as soon as possible the design should also be addressed to this relatively small and special group within divers (technical divers).


DESIGN IDEAS

What we have in mind is a logo focusing on the company’s name: SABLAYAN DIVERS. It could (but does not have to) contain a (cartoon-like) animal or stylized parts of animals we see at our dives on Apo Reef – for instance shark (whitetip reefshark, grey reefshark, hammerhead shark), bumphead parrotfish, barracuda, moorish idol, remora, manta ray, devil ray, eagle ray.
Color preferences: orange/yellow, blue (sea), green, red
As most divers want to have a stamp in their diver’s logbook our logo needs to be applicable to a stamp as good as possible.
Optional: since we might have to mark parts of our equipment it could be beneficial to have a logo easily transferable to a stencil (spraying).
In general: a simple combination mark might be the most interesting choice but we are open for everything!
