******UPDATE 01/10 - Thanks for all the submissions so far. We are now able to give a better defined brief.
We believe the logo should not have house or tools based symbols. We want to avoid anything which implies we are builders or a home improvements company.
The reason is because we will also be carrying out work on corporate offices, hotels, bars and restaurants and would prefer the brand not to imply just residential or that we do work other than which we specialise in - Venetian Polished Plaster. i.e. we do not carry out any joinery or general building work so hammers etc do not really apply to us.
Think of it more as a design brand, with the logo appearing as a stamp on brochures etc. A google image search for 'home interior brands' gives some examples.
Thanks for all the ideas so far - hopefully the improved brief is useful ********
We need a logo for a new company which aims to be a high end provider/installer of Venetian Polished Plaster in the UK.
We will be working with professional architects and interior designers to help their high net worth and commercial clients to help give their home or business premises a unique finish.
We can create literally any colour and pattern effects and stencilling can be used to put images, tile grout lines, raised or indented text/patters, aged stone and other effects into the work
The plaster will normally be a feature wall, but can also be used to create finishes on wood panels (e.g. kitchen units) or be used as a replacement for tiles in kitchens and wet rooms etc
The logo should be clean and simple, communicating luxury and quality.

Requirements
Must have
- Consideration that the logo will be in use on company vehicles and workwear as well as websites, stationary etc. Must re size well
Nice to have
- Initial ideas are that the logo could be signature or monogram based but very interested in all ideas. The reason this would appeal is the idea that each job would be 'signed' by using a small stencil to place the logo in a part of the wall
Should not have
- Cartoon characters
