Logo Design Brief
We are just starting a small business at our acreage to host outdoor rustic wedding ceremonies. The property has a long winding tree lined road that leads you up to an old "Red Tin Barn". The property also has a pond which is just steps away from the barn.
We want the barn to be at the centre of the logo. We want a logo to use on our website (under development), but can also be easily transferable to a hat, shirt, business card, letterhead, etc.
We may add hosting receptions in the barn at some point, but for now the barn is just a backdrop for the service and pictures.
The logo should communicate a sense of an old rustic barn where people enjoy special moments together.
We have also just hung a 10ft x 2ft metal sign on our front entrance with "The Red Tin Barn" cut out. It has a piece of stainless steel behind to accent the cut-out letters. We like the look of the old rusty steel as well.

Must have
- An image of the barn and the words "The Red Tin Barn".
- The profile of the barn needs to reflect that of the exact barn we have (ie their are many different types of barns, we want our logo to reflect our barn).
Nice to have
- Font could match the type we have on our metal sign, but this is not 100% required.
- Some red colouring in the logo.
Should not have
- Although our business is for outdoors wedding services, the logo should not be "frilly, flowery, or have wedding rings, etc". We want the rustic charm of the barn to shine through.
