Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company based in Ontario, Canada, near the shores of the Great Lakes.

What type of logo do we prefer?

Five Lakes prefers both

1. Pictorial icon logo of recognizable things that represent the company - see below - together with "Five Lakes" text to complement imagery

What are the key point about my business that my logo should convey?

Five Lakes is:

1. A Canadian company, that wants to reflect this with the Great Lakes and its surrounding nature

2. Creates and sells higher-end products made from artisans specializing in natural materials including wood, cement, glass, and steel. We will eventually make Five Lakes a large apparel company so having the right logo is very important.

3. Committed to giving back to the environment, by providing 100% of profits to help re-mediate the Great Lakes

4. Trendy, attractive, masculine, polished design that resonates with successful 26 – 35 year old men

5. Interesting fact: “Five Lakes” A commonly referred to synonym for the Great Lakes, one of Canada’s most recognized landmarks that represents interconnected freshwater lakes. It’s also the largest group of freshwater lakes on Earth. It began to form 14,000 years as retreating ice sheets exposed the basins they had carved into the land and filled with meltwater.

6. Our branding will use lifestyle imagery that reflects low saturated, cooler, pictures of nature (berries, trees, horizons, elk), images representing the importance and characteristics of the great lakes (see photo we attached of Great Lakes), and the comfort of warming up around an outdoor or indoor fire.
