Graphic Design Brief
Require cricket bat stickers/labels for a new brand of cricket equipment called Carbon. We are trying to break into a tough market and the packaging is EXTREMELY important, as people can be highly influenced by how the cricket bats stickers look. We need to make it look attractive for kids from 6 years old to adults 30+. Logo has already been designed - files included. The CS logo needs to be used and the word Carbon (Not Carbon Sports) in its actual font be used also. They can be separated.
The stickers need to make the bat feel the best of the best.
I see the colour elements possibly being a smaller part of the design.
Take inspiration from carbon, carbonfibre, modern.
Break it up with some blacks, carbon grey, whites maybe.
Bat labels have restrictions. Front of bat: Must be confined to the top 22.86cm, measured from the bottom of the grip. Back of the bat: Labels must occupy no more than 50% of the back of the bat.
Would like to see some sticker design options that naturally highlight/exaggerate the sweet spot of the bat, which is usually 3/4 down the back of the bat.
Nothing too over the top. Sleek, cool, clever, modern design.
Suggest that you Google some cricket bats and see how most companies are designing their stickers - it will help give you an idea of how to enhance cricket bat shapes.
Colours - maybe use a bright, subtle pop colour of pink, green or aqua blue (not all at once!) with carbon grey, black, white, carbon-fibre appearance. The pop colour doesn't want to be the main colour of the bat (EG stickers that are all green - we don't want that) The pop colour will define each model of bat we will make.
Please use a template to show me the stickers that has a front, side and back view of the bat.
Thanks!
