Logo Design Brief

We need a new updated logo. The light grey and blue can be kept as colors. I like the star that somewhat resemlbes a compass- this thought process in the design coudl be kept- we like the idea of a compass but it's not completely necessary. A new design of a compass would be welcome. Something more modern in the font but still classy looking. We want a clean crisp design that represents a new and upcoming home contractor. I have attached what the current logo looks like- it is old and outdated with too much going on. I am looking for simplicity.
