Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my kettlebell club.

If you don't know what a kettlebell is, it's a cannonball with a handle, which you swing or lift to build muscle strength and endurance.
The sport originates from Russia but has ties to the Norse mythology

I live in wooded area, which translates directly into "Vulture Wood" as in the bird of prey and a Forest.

I'd like to have a logo designed with a Vulture with a kettlebell and the words "Vulture Wood Kettlebell"

Initially I'm thinking that the Vulture grasps the kettlebell in it's talons, maybe it's even flying with it. which is kind of a comic perspective why I'm inspired by the Hanna-Barbera vultures fromt he old comics, but despite that I'd like the logo to be serious but not self-important.

Design wise I also like the German eagle the Reichadler, unfortunately there are quite some quite ugly associations with it and the swastika which I'd like som distance to, but the design works nevertheless.

I've attached three file, two are of the Reichadler as inspiration for both a simplistic bird and a more detailed bird.
And the one which is from a swedish kettlebell competition (True grit open, a griffin), which I obliviously do not want to copy, but it has some of the same basic ideas with out copying the Reichadler directly.
Again, I need a Vulture, not an eagle or griffin.

The design needs to work both for making a large banner ( 1m x 1m) and for the back of a T-shirt.

Feel free to include some Norse/Viking inspired look if it works.

The text should be readable, but NOT the main thing in the logo. The Vulture and the kettlebell are most important, but mutually equal important.


So the design could be a powerful design with clear contrasts and simple colors á la the Reichadler

or

a more cartoon-ish look with a Vulture flying along with a kettlebell in its talons, but still better serious than ridiculous.

Requirements

Must have

• A kettlebell. I've attached a picture of a competition kettlebell to show you the shape.
• It's flat on the bottom and the handle shape is kind of square on the outside.
• Use the outer structure of the competition kettlebell for your design.
• don't just use a sphere and a random handle.
• A Vulture, not an eagle, not a griffin.. A vulture.
