Signage Design Brief

Signage for a Coffee Cart located at a stadium

Hi Design Crowd Team,

The brief is ultra generic - design a sign that says "Coffee" (or "COFFEE" - if that looks better) which will be fixed to a coffee cart. But not just any coffee cart, a coffee cart located inside a major Australian Stadium hosting one of the worlds biggest events. Your mission is to make the sign an eye-catching work of art.

Attached is a diagram of the sign sizes, photos of the coffee cart your sign will go on and a few images that caught my eye.

But importantly check out the "ARABICA" Logo attachments. I would like the word "coffee" using the same font as the logo.

As mentioned the sign can only have 1 word, "COFFEE" or "Coffee" depending on what you think looks better.

The challenging part is designing the background (to the word “Coffee”). The obvious thing to do is to use beans, someone drinking from a cup of coffee etc. However I am looking for something more modern and artistic. I have included some imagery and was thinking that the background could be a tessellation (repeating pattern) using the "A" from the Arabica Logo as a triangle, repeating in different colors.

Of if you don't like that idea it could be some kind of artwork or imagery - perhaps along the lines of another Arabica Logo that was submitted that I thought was very original. See attached.

The sign comes in 4 sizes (see diagram attached). 2 are side by side on coffee carts as shown in the pictures. The 3rd is overhead and skinny. The fourth is for a wind break that goes on the side of the carts. The signs can all be the same or be one continuous sign or any combination as you can see in the pictures. I have included the sizes of each sign to make it easier for you to set the canvas size when designing. This will also make it easier for the printer to print the correct sizes.

The sign will be used at a stadium full of people and needs to catch their eye as well as communicate that coffee is served here.
