Logo Design Brief
Verbiage "Casey Ayers • Duval County School Board District 2" must appear. "Casey Ayers" and "School Board" are the most important elements. "District 2" is the least important. Any type of separator – line break, hyphen, the word "for", etc. is acceptable between Ayers and Duval.
Open to use of all-lower casing if the design benefits from it.
Logo – especially name – should be easy to read from a distance, but remain attractive and memorable at a closer look, as this mark may be used on lawn signs as well as on campaign literature.
Traditional red, white, and blue campaign colors are acceptable, but we would also consider and favor an alternate approach using teal (Hex #006778), gold (Hex #d7a22a), and white. Bonus points for any education-related elements that add value, but do not consider this a requirement if an otherwise strong design would suffer from it. For example - using a teacher's handwritten "A" grade in red pen for the A in Ayers, or incorporating part of an apple's shape into the design.
Optionally, "Smart solutions for tomorrow's schools" may appear, as well, but this campaign slogan isn't critical to include unless the design easily accommodates it.
