Logo Design Brief

I have recently started my own business, providing advice to financial market players, mainly listed companies. My background is in financial regulation and I will primarily assist companies and investment firms comply with financial regulation. I am based in Stockholm, Sweden.

I have put together a very simple logo myself, using Canvas. Amateur style no doubt but just to get things started. From it you will see the colors that I have chosen. I am open to suggestion but that has been my starting point at least. I associate blue with the financial sector and red is my favorite color.

The name FinCom obviously refers to the financial sector. The "com" part can represent e.g. communication (advise to listed companies often relates to disclosure requirements), competence (I will do training of different sorts), compliance (advice on financial regulation aims to ensure compliance) and I have chosen to include those words as a sub text in my draft logo. That is not necessary of course and it can be an add-on to use in certain context but not part of an actual logo.

I intend to use the logo on a web site (fincom.se), on invoices, business cards etc. I will not do ads, banners etc. My name is my trade mark and the people and organizations I deal with will typically know me.

Clients should work with me because they trust me and because I will help them get complex things right, to avoid getting into trouble. They should also work with me because they will get personal service and dedication from an experienced and devoted professional.The logo should thereby signal confidence, accuracy, passion and ambition.
