Logo Design Brief

Design a logo for Social Poker Tour. SPT is an under development web and mobile application. The main objective of SPT is to connect poker players via a social media like platform. SPT will not only connect players online, but also allow them to organize poker leagues, tournaments and home games. SPT app is also a fully featured poker tournament platform, to keep track of players data, registrations, leaderboards, etc. It will be a freemium service, with free and premium account levels.
The design must be unique and original (unlike most poker logos out there). Must be compliant with current logo standards. What I mean by that is a logo versatile enough to to be put in an app icon, a favicon, a business card, a hat, on light, dark or colored backgrounds, color or monochrome prints, embroidery, etc. You get the idea!
