The logo is going to serve both as a logo for a military /combat veteran podcast and as a brand that will be a means of monitizing that podcast. What the brand will encompass will be wide ranging and dependent on the opportunities that the podcast presents. A line of t-shirts and hoodies will probably be the first things I offer. That being said, the aesthetic of the logo being congruent with the podcast is what takes precedence.
For a bit of direction hears some information for the artist regarding the nature of the show. The podcast will be called Cry Havoc Radio. The brand will just be Cry Havoc. The name comes out of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, " Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war." The podcast will cover a variety of topics, of which many will be serious, heavy and complex: war, killing, firearms, warrior culture, veteran suicide, military history, current military issues, etc. So when your considering what direction to go, don't be afraid to stray into more morbid or dark symbolism. That isn't to say you must though. Given my love for literature, the show will also have many references to classical literature and ideas to move the conversations and topics toward deeper intellectual or romantic considerations. I don't want to box anyone, so I'm being a bit vague intentionally. But I do have some leanings that you should consider.
This culture - and the brands that lie within - is incredibly saturated in cliche's. Every swipe of your thumb reveals some new veteran owned enterprise with a skull, spartan helmet, mean dog or medieval night as their logo or t-shirt design. Its annoying. I do like the idea of using some type of skeleton theme, but only if done so with creativity and uniqueness. There are also some key colors to consider that resonate with this demographic that I am on board with: black & white, olive drab, tan, brown, bright red. Those are a few ideas, but you are not limited to those two recommendations. So here is what I need, to be more specific:- The logos need to be a Vector Graphic- I need one version that has the image and "Cry Havoc Radio" and- One that has the image and just "Cry Havoc"- And one with just the image , no text- Art work needs to maintain comprehensiveness when shrunk to smaller sizes. - Have Fun

Requirements
Must have
- - I want it to be somewhat abrasive
- - Must be expressive of the nature of war
- - Vector Graphic format
- - Must resonate with the warfighter culture
Nice to have
- I do have a propensity for white emblems with black back grounds. Maybe a little red in them or something like that. But you are free to sway me otherwise.
- It would be cool to see it be a thought provoking image with some symbolism ( I had share two ideas at the top.
Should not have
- No spartan, samurai, crusader anything.
- No microphone images. Though it is a podcast, I want the logo to express the nature and topics of the show, not the podcast itself. Also because I need my logo to be dynamic and versatile for use as a brand on shirts or whatever else I come up with.
