Logo Design Brief
Our name is "Mainely Memphis" and we worry that others don't understand that we intentionally have misspelled our name. We are from the great state of Maine and now live in Memphis. We would love a design that incorporates that in some way. Maybe some type of symbol to represent Memphis and Maine? The business is located in Memphis so it is ok if the Memphis symbol isn't as recognizable as the Maine one. When I think of Memphis I think of our pyramid, the bridge, and Elvis.We have 2 divisions to our business.Primarily we sell antiques, vintage, reproduction and retro home décor items in an antique mall. We have recently expanded into a second location and in that location we have a booth that is doing some of the same and another that caters to pet lovers. (I get that this could make our design extra difficult. We may find we need two or that the design is only about our name and not our business. Ideally we will have one.)We want to frame our design in our booth so people walk by it and remember who we are next time they come in. I am not sold on any particular color scheme.
The attached photo shows one we played with on our own. I think it reflects our style and desire. This photo is NOT necessarily what we want. You can choose other icons to represent. It just shows how we want the mashup.

I am still looking for just the right design. I have received some good ones and am in process of providing feedback.
Please do NOT feel limited by the example I showed. The purpose of that design was to show that we like color, and we want something from Maine and Memphis idealling.
Maine-- lobster, lighthouses, ocean, Moose, trees
Memphis-- pyramid, Bridge, Elvis
If you can only include one in the design we want MAINE not Memphis.
Please read the brief. We are hoping our logo can help people see that we are called "Mainely" Memphis because of being from Maine.

Thank you for all of your submissions! I had a very difficult time making a decision. I know that each of you spent time to submit quality designs to the project and I was very impressed with all of the designs I got right up until the end. Unfortunately, I cannot buy them all. There are several others I would have liked as well. This is my first time using designcrowd and I am glad I tried it. I am still looking over designs to see if there are second and third places I want to offer. I just had so much trouble picking!
